SkyTrak SIG10 Golf Simulator Package

The frame was either too big or the cover too small. Had to modify the black cover with extra velcro to make it work. It was about 6-8” too short. And one of the poles was too big around to fit into the other pole. Good thing we have plenty of power tools, had to shave it down it get it to fit. It took about 4 hours to set up the enclosure with all the modifications required As far as the system goes, it is great. Fairly easy to set up. All the equipment works well. Greens are nice. Need better quality control on the enclosure parts.

I really enjoy the system. If my son had not come down to set up the computer and (told me what computer to buy) I don't think I could have ever set up the system as that part was very weak on instructions. Thank God I have a smart son with great computer skills.

Thoughtful and helpful sales, including fixing an error

Joe Ellis was fantastic throughout the sales and after-sales process. Building a Golf Simulator is a complex process. There are a lot of options out there, a lot is still developing in the field, and getting authoritative and accurate information is tricky. Here’s my experience with the components. The SIG10 Enclosure - really good quality. Note: the online manual has two of the pole colors mixed up; this should be corrected. Other than that, construction went well. Solid product. Projector - I went with the Panasonic, the higher quality of the two projectors available. The bracket that suspends it from the ceiling doesn’t hold it well at an angle. That needs a bit of help. Once we installed it on a shelf attached to the back wall of the garage, all was well. Works great. Launch Monitor - started with Skytrak, as it had great reviews, and both Joe Ellis and I thought it would work with the GS Pro Golf simulation software that I wanted to use. Turns out that the software does NOT officially support Skytrak; people have created a software fix, but I couldn’t make it work, got concerned over future hiccups, and asked Joe to swap out Skytrak for the Flightscope MEVO+ 2023 monitor. It was a bit tricky researching how to make it work with my computer, and GS Golf Pro’s customer service responded on a Sunday, within a few hours, to my email asking for help. Kudos to them. Now, it all works seamlessly. And, Indoor Golf processed my Skytrak refund promptly and without hassle. The Computer - it took quite a bit of research to determine that the computer I needed was an Acer (Indoor Golf sells Acer, although Joe was clear about the fact they send along what Acer provides them). I bought the upgraded Acer from Amazon and it took a bit of playing with it all to coordinate the computer, solftware, and launch monitor. But, now it all works great. Putting - turns out that Flightscope requires a long runway to track putting. And Indoor Golf, to its credit, has one in production. The trick is to get the putt hit from the same spot as the rest of the shots, and to move the Flightscope up (to 7 feet behind the ball) from its 8-foot position for all the other shots. Again, this took research to discover. I do think that the company that can present a complete package to a customer, with all the software loaded, integrated, and working BEFORE it arrives, is going to take this market by storm. I think Indoor Golf is close to doing this and can make it happen. Perhaps a few packages, driven by (a) which golf simulation software you want to use and (b) which data you want the launch monitor to provide. Bottom-line: I was well-served by Indoor Golf. AND they will do even better in the future as they work to make this entire process less complex. Thank you!

Happy but disappointed

Overall I’m very happy with my sig 10. The construction was easy with the great step by step instructions. Making the initial connections to download the software was a challenge but received tech help which resolved issue. Everything works well, my only complaint is that a few weeks after receiving my skytrak unit I learn the new improved unit is available. If I’d known I’d waited for the new unit. Very disappointed!
